About
Born and raised in the Live Music Capital, Austin, Texas, multi-instrumentalist Josh Mosier formed his first band, South of Center, in the third grade. On lead vocals and guitar, Josh Recorded 4 EPs with South of Center and played shows around local Austin venues, dialing in his improvisational skills. The early years of learning 2000's singer-songwriter hits, along with jazz, blues, and funk influences can still be heard in Josh’s music today.
Josh developed a passion for music production in his early teens, attending Austin’s own Band Aid School of Music before leaving for college in New Orleans where he studied Music Business & Jazz. The improvisational scene in NOLA was a natural fit for Josh’s style and eventually led him to headline at the legendary Tipitinas with long-time collaborator, Teaj in 2020.
After college, Josh returned to Austin, and while continuing to produce his own projects, he also began teaching at the very music school he grew up learning at. With 10+ years of creating music already under his belt it was a natural next step to begin to share his talents and love of music with others.
Today, Josh teaches inspired youth and adults guitar, piano, drums, and vocals. He also coaches several Band Aid bands who are now coming into their own and playing on legendary Austin stages like Stubbs.
